Rhea Ripley has rapidly risen to become one of the top superstars in WWE. Over the past couple of years, Ripley has asserted her dominance in the women’s division. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that stars of the present and past are lining up to face her. Recently, Lita revealed that she’d love to square off against The Eradicator inside the squared circle.
During a Q&A session at Monopoly Events, the four-time Women’s Champion outlined her reasons behind her choice. Lita heaped praise on Ripley and her aforementioned rise to the top in WWE. Moreover, she reminisced about her brief interaction with the former Judgment Day member during the women’s 2022 Royal Rumble match. According to Lita, Ripley had come a long way since the event.
The WWE Hall of Famer did return for a brief run in the buildup to WrestleMania 39. Lita and Trish Stratus came back to help Becky Lynch in her battle against Damage CTRL. The Queen of Extreme won the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Lynch. At the Show of Shows, the trio emerged victorious against the Bayley-led faction.
I think somebody that I had a very brief interaction with in the Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley, has just grown so much and added so many layers to her character, and I think she would be great to face.Lita during Monopoly Events Q&A session [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Weeks later, Lita was written out of television after she was attacked by her best friend, Stratus. Since then, the legend has not appeared on WWE programming. Similar to Stratus, the 49-year-old could return for a future rivalry against Ripley, which would further catapult the latter to legendary status. Nevertheless, only time will tell if Lita decides to lace up her wrestling boots again.
Rhea Ripley has set her sights on becoming a 3-time Women’s Champion at Bad Blood
Earlier this year, Rhea Ripley‘s 379-day championship reign came to an unfortunate end. After suffering an injury at the hands of Liv Morgan, Ripley vacated her Women’s World title. Amidst her injury hiatus, Morgan would not only go on to win the championship but also tear apart The Judgment Day.
In her return match, The Eradicator was betrayed by Dominik Mysterio as he helped Morgan retain her title. At Bash in Berlin, Ripley alongside Damian Priest taught the new power couple a lesson, defeating them in emphatic fashion.
With The Judgment Day drama in the rearview mirror, the Aussie star can finally focus on dethroning Liv and taking back the Women’s World Championship. The two rivals will collide at the upcoming Bad Blood PLE, which might be Ripley’s last shot to win the title. Given the intensity of the feud, fans are hoping for a stipulation to be added to the bout.
