The LSU Tigers won the SEC championship for the second time in a row while Livvy Dunne was ruled out due to injuries. Nonetheless, it did not stop the social media star from celebrating the victory like her own, as visible in her stories. While her boyfriend Paul Skenes missed out on the event, Dunne made sure to fill his presence for her followers.

Livvy Dunne and her LSU teammates completed their first hurdle to defend their 2024 NCAA title on Saturday. The celebrations kicked off at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, featured on the social media sensation’s IG stories. One of them was a joint act by her and Aleah Finnegan which nodded to Dunne’s MLB boyfriend Paul Skenes.

The two mimicked baseball-like actions where the latter pretended to throw a baseball while Dunne swung like a batter. However, instead of a baseball, the victory lapse featured yellow an purple confetti, much on the point.

Other stories featured group selfies with the same confetti around, then another video of the team beaming with joy. Dunne also reposted LSU’s already uploaded carousel of pictures, after a close-up picture of the trophy.

Next up, the LSU are headed to the NCAA Regionals on April 2nd. While Dunne will be busy with her teammates, Paul Skenes will kick off his sophomore season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Presently, the Rookie of The Year was indulged in his Spring training in Florida ahead of the MLB 2025 season opening day on March 27.

Both Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes are LSU alumni. The two met at the university while the former was a gymnast and the latter a baseball player on the team. Skenes led the team to an NCAA title before winning the College World Series MVP. Fresh out of college he made his MLB debut and also received an All-Star nod the same year. All the while, the couple enjoyed each other’s support and the fans’ appreciation.

Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes have quickly gathered a place as one of the power couple of sports. With the contrasting personalities the two have, the fans have fun watching them together. While Dunne is a social person with a massive social media following, Skenes is lowkey and inept in handling media attention. Nonetheless, the MLB athlete is catching up on the Gymnasts’ antics, as seen in one of the TikToks recently posted by the latter.

Livvy Dunne recently posted a video on her TikTok handle where she attempted to prank video call Paul Skenes who was off for his training. The LSU gymnast put up a picture of a random person, intending to scare the Pirates pitcher.

Skenes, well aware of Dunne’s antics, stood unfazed and continued having the meal he was previously having. Only, a second later, he pulled a ‘Livvy’ on Livvy as he popped up the same picture on his screen, leaving fans in stitches.

The comments section of the post were hilarious reactions of the users lauding Skenes’ reaction. One of them quipped that the pitcher had some emotions in him, referring to his general stoic persona online. Although that mostly has to do with his lack of comfort with the camera, unlike his girlfriend. Notably, ever since his excellent debut in the league, many cameras have been on him, which Dunne has helped him balance.
