Logan Paul takes a dig at The Rock after being ranked below him in ESPN’s list of most influential people in wrestling

Being on TKO's Board of Directors, The Rock's ranking in ESPN's list of most influential names in wrestling has Logan Paul up in arms.

Shortly ago, ESPN ranked 15 of the most influential names in boxing, MMA, and wrestling. Despite landing a spot on the highly-coveted list, Logan Paul wasn’t happy. Reacting to the same, the social media influencer subtly aimed a dig at The Rock. Quoting a reply on X, Paul said he couldn’t believe he was ranked below a part-time wrestler, i.e., Rock, who secured a sixth place overall as opposed to Logan’s 13.

Other wrestling inclusions saw AEW president Tony Khan at #12, WWE CCO Triple H at #5, and WWE president Nick Khan roping in a top-3 finish. Back to Logan Paul, he wasn’t the only one to be ranked 13th. In fact, he shared the honor with his younger brother Jake Paul. And when it comes to Logan calling Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson a part-timer who pipped him, that’s an irony.

It’s just because Paul is also on a limited-date payroll with WWE. Albeit, by the looks of it, what Paul had to say seems within the confines of his WWE gimmick. He has at times said that Rock was his childhood hero and someone whom he idolized growing up.

Even though the IMPAULSIVE host’s technically a full-blown WWE Superstar, while The Rock isn’t, Paul’s got more worries as he’s caught the ire of the wrestling hard cores. Reprimanding the basis of the ESPN-backed list, the fans are miffed at the egregious snub of wrestling’s arguably the biggest box-office attraction outside of The Great One, Roman Reigns.

The OTC has been WWE’s poster boy for a while and carried the company when it was at its lowest during the COVID-19 pandemic. But that wasn’t enough to earn him a spot in the aforementioned list. Whereas, The Maverick was good to be on it for some reason.

Does Logan Paul have a problem with Kevin Nash as well?

It does seem like Logan Paul isn’t viewed as fondly as he would like by former maestros of the squared circle. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash went off on The Maverick. Nash was incensed at Paul’s ignorance of wrestling jargon, with the former boxer being oblivious to terms like ‘shoot’.

The Big Daddy Cool vehemently criticized the 29-year-old for not being around with the full-time wrestlers as much as he should. Logan didn’t take too kindly of it, and he went swinging at the 65-year-old.

The former US Champion called out Nash for being jealous of his success in WWE. Paul also vowed to make Kevin eat his own words when one day he decides to transition himself into a full-time wrestler.

Former WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman later chimed in to lend his support to the boxer-turned-wrestler. Coach praised Paul for soaking in all the negativity and turning it into an effective angle.
