.In the best-of-three series, LOUD completely decimated Team Liquid on the first map Haven, winning it with a 13-2 score. It was LOUD’s pick. Team Liquid seemed clueless and out of touch with the whole map. They lost bonus rounds and such rounds which they completely had control over. It seemed like they were tossing it against a team that capitalizes on every minor chance they get.

After a crumbling start, both teams went to Split, Team Liquid’s pick. The second map split was a closer affair, with teams leveled at 6-6 after the first half. Team Liquid won the pistol and the anti-eco in the second half, taking the lead for the first time in the series. They then go on to lose all the remaining rounds to LOUD, ending the map at an 8-13 defeat for Team Liquid.

LOUD’s Less and Tuyz were the best performers in the match dropping 30 and 28 kills respectively. No one from Team Liquid showed up in the game with Sayf being the only player from their team to end on a positive kill to death score. Team Liquid’s star performer nAts had his personal worst performance of the year with a rating of 0.70 and ACS of 160.

Latams fans are surely happy to see their favorite team back in form. They have started playing to their strength using the Harbor Viper comp that they had originally innovated. Moving forward, a major concern for them is the form of their star duelist, Aspas who was quiet for most of the game. For them to fight for the title, Aspas needs to start dominating the servers again.

Team Liquid’s year has ended in VCT with an overall underwhelming first year of franchising. They have many things to reflect upon and consider making necessary changes for next year. Team LOUD on the other hand is going to continue their run. They are now facing EMEA veterans NAVI in the lower bracket qualifier.
