The UFC women’s strawweight fighter Luana Pinheiro won her fight against Randa Markos in the prelims of UFC Vegas 25 with a controversial illegal up-kick disqualification.

Pinheiro was making her UFC debut with this fight and she was excellently using her Judo skills to throw Markos around the Octagon. But near the end of the first round unfortunately Randa Markos threw an illegal up kick that knocked Pinheiro out.

The referee Mark Smith called off the fight and disqualified Markos for this. After this many people pointed fingers at Luana Pinheiro that she was faking it to win the fight.

Even the UFC commentator Michael Bisping and Paul Felder questioned her for showing a delayed reaction to the kick and many fans pointed fingers at her that she faked this.

Luana Pinheiro didn’t want the fight to end this way

The strawweight prospect Luana Pinheiro was clearly dominating the fight until this happened. And after receiving all these comments on social media she released a statement with her Instagram post, saying that she doesn’t want the fight to end this way.

Pinheiro says, “Hey guys!!! Coming here to first say that I’m fine! Second, I want to thank everyone for their support, both before and after the fight. I want to thank all my team that worked very closely with me to get our best version for this fight.”

“Nobody wanted this victory more than me and nobody feels more than I do for the outcome of the fight. I imagined a thousand possibilities of my arm ending upraised and none of them was the way it ended up happening.”

“But regardless of the outcome it was not how I wanted it and how I worked for it, I am happy for all the work I did to get well prepared for the fight. I will work hard to continue looking for my evolution and bring my best version in the next challenges. Thanks for everything and let’s go, we still have a long way to go!”
