Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic
After a beautiful game in the win against the Charlotte Hornets, star player for the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic, was full of praise for teammate Kyrie Irving. He acknowledged ‘Uncle Drew’, something he’s been doing for a while this season, and his team contributions.
According to Luka Doncic, Irving has a great on and off-court relationship with Kai, which has been instrumental to them being a formidable duo. He also boldly stated that he knows how to win championships, as Kai did during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I mean, having Kyrie here has been a blessing. I would say on the court, everyone knows what kind of player he is, and off the court, he owes me a lot. Not just me the whole team. He knows how to win a championship; he's a very humble guy.Luka Doncic said in the post game presser
Doncic and Irving have been instrumental to the Dallas Mavericks this season forming a formidable duo, with Irving coming in to add a championship-winning mentality to the team. And thanks to their combined efforts, they are the most in-form team in the league, winning nine out of ten games and thus clinching a place in the post-season playoffs.
Luka Doncic ended the Tuesday night with a historic triple-double of 39 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving had 18 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists, and is averaging almost 26 points per game this season despite participating in the Ramadan fast over the past month.

An anonymous NBA exec recently claimed that the Mavs backcourt duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are the best in the league. He went further to say that the Mavs in the playoffs pose a severe threat come to the playoffs due to their star Batman-Robin duo.
Luka and Kyrie are the best duo in the NBA. Their chemistry on the court is off the charts. They complement each other so well, and they genuinely like each other. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dallas makes a serious run in the playoffs. I don’t see a defense stopping Luka and Kyrie in a seven-game series.the anonymous exec said to Hoops Wire
And the executive might not be completely wrong here. The Mavericks have seen their good fortune rise recently, and the duo has been instrumental for that. Also, the acquisition of P. J. Washington and Daniel Gafford has been instrumental to the course.
As a strong MVP contender, Doncic averages 33.9 PPG, 9.2 RPG, and 9.8 APG for the Mavericks. Maybe this could be Doncic’s and Mavs’ season after a long while.
