WATCH: “Go home b**ch!” – Luka Doncic’s hyped-up rant towards Minnesota fans after Game 2 win goes viral
Doncic's hype suggests he might not allow series to come back to Minnesota.
Luka Doncic goes on a hyped-up rant towards Minnesota Timberwolves fans after scoring game-winning 3-pointer giving 2-0 lead
Luka Doncic scoring the game-winning 3-pointer closed out Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. This gave the Dallas Mavericks a crucial 2-0 lead heading back home. The significance of the game winner was evident as Doncic went on a rant. First against Rudy Gobert and then towards Minnesota Timberwolves fans.
As the game drew to a close, the 25-year-old superstar was seen shouting at Timberwolves fans;
Yeah. Go home b**ch!Luka Doncic shouted
A veiled shot suggesting the Minnesota Timberwolves fans to go home. It also suggests that Doncic advised them the series was over and they might not see their team back in action. A highly possible scenario, considering that winning in Dallas is not an easy task.
However, it shows the confidence the Slovenian superstar has in his and his team’s abilities. They want to close out the series as soon as possible. Which will help them get much needed rest before tackling the NBA Finals.
They reaped benefits of that rest in Games 1 and 2 as the Timberwolves were battling fatigue. Finishing one game earlier meant the Dallas Mavericks got two extra days to rest their sore bodies. Beating fatigue is important when one has to make such game-winning shots.
Luka Doncic joins Shaquille O’Neal and Draymond Green to troll Rudy Gobert
After the game, Luka Doncic was invited to the dais to talk about his game with the crew of Inside the NBA. As they asked him about the final play, Shaquille O’Neal said that the Defensive Player of the Year was guarding him.
I can’t move fast, but I can move faster than him.Luka Doncic responded
This was a direct troll at Gobert and sent the whole panel in splits. Naturally, Draymond Green laughed the most as he and O’Neal have been taking jabs at Rudy Gobert time and again.
Shaquille O’Neal does not consider Gobert to be a good enough player. Especially considering the amount of money he is being paid. Green is no stranger to calling out Gobert, after going at the Frenchman for his poor defense in round 2 of the playoffs.
It will be worthy to wait and see how Rudy Gobert responds to this in the coming games. So far in the playoffs he has been an almost no-show against the best players in the league.
