Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are the most successful tennis players in 2024, for they have won two Grand Slams each. Sinner is the winner of the Australian Open (his maiden major title) and recently clinched the US Open, while Alcaraz lifted his maiden French Open title and defended his Wimbledon crown.
As the two players have been leading the next generation of men’s players, Martina Navratilova predicted how many majors both the youngsters will end up winning. The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion is confident of seeing the two players win majors in double digits.
I think double-digits [should be Sinner's Grand Slam title aim]. And I would say the same for Alcaraz. We'll see if they stay healthy. That is, of course, because that is the wildcard.Martina Navratilova told Sky Sports
In the recently concluded US Open, the World No. 1 beat home favorite Taylor Fritz 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 to become the first Italian man to win at Flushing Meadows, also winning his sixth title on the ATP Tour. Alcaraz, who won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics, could only reach the second round where Botic van de Zandschulp ended his campaign.
Marion Bartoli predicts Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will win more than 10 Grand Slams
Along with Martina Navratilova, Marion Bartoli was also asked how many Grand Slams Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz would win. She also predicted how many more Slams Novak Djokovic will lift.
My number would be between 15 and 18 Grand Slam titles for each of them, Sinner and Alcaraz. I just think Novak Djokovic is going to go for maybe two or three more, will end up at 26 or 27, and then after that you really have, for me, the two most complete players.Marion Bartoli said
Djokovic, the owner of 24 Grand Slams, is trophyless on the ATP Tour, last winning the 2023 US Open. After winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the 37-year-old was knocked out of the third round at the US Open.
Also for the first time since 2002, no member of the Big 3 could win a Grand Slam title in a season. 22-time major champion Rafael Nadal, who came back after recovering from injuries, hasn’t reached a Grand Slam final as he played just the French Open where he lost in the first round. Roger Federer, who has 22 major titles, retired in 2022.
