- Mark Cuban, a former critic of Donald Trump, appeared alongside him at the White House for the "TrumpRX" initiative.
- Cuban expressed support for Trump's efforts to lower prescription drug costs, emphasizing bipartisan benefits.
- Following backlash, Cuban defended his partnership with Trump, later deleting a post that included profanity.
Mark Cuban has always been one of Donald Trump‘s harshest critics. The American billionaire previously backed Kamala Harris, who was Trump’s political rival in the 2024 United States Presidential elections.
While Trump and Cuban are both billionaires, they do not really have a good relationship with one another. However, the two put their differences aside as Trump welcomed Cuban onto the White House stage with open arms.
During the event, a reporter pressed Trump on why one of his most vocal critics stood beside him. Trump replied:
He made a mistake. It was a big mistake (on supporting Kamala Harris). It (the event) says that we love people, we love our country, he’s (Cuban) got a big company and he’s going to do a lot of business. Mark wanted to be a part of it. I have a lot of respect for Mark, frankly, and I always have.

President Trump jokes about Mark Cuban previously backing Kamala Harris as the two appear together at a healthcare affordability event focused on lowering prescription drug costs.

It is surprising to see Mark Cuban share the stage with Donald Trump. Cuban, who is best known as an investor on the TV show Shark Tank or for being the majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, often took shots at Trump throughout the Presidential campaign. However, the relationship may have gotten better between the two when Cuban congratulated Trump after the latter won the elections.
The event held was for Trump’s “TrumpRX” initiative. In an effort to lower the prescription drug costs in the US, Trump added generic medications to its direct-to-consumer drug sales website. It is a move expected to benefit millions of citizens across the country.
Mark Cuban thanks Donald Trump at the “TrumpRX” event
It is a surprising turn of events as one of Donald Trump’s fiercest critics stood by him at a White House event. Mark Cuban is the co-founder of the Cost Plus Drug Company. The company offers mail-order medications at lower prices. Hence, it was a good opportunity for Cuban to join with Trump to promote cheaper prescriptions.

Following Trump’s speech, Cuban thanked the President for his efforts.
Thank you Mr. President. I think other than you, I’ve been the biggest proponent of TrumpRx. The reason for that is Republicans want cheaper drugs, Independents want cheaper drugs, Democrats want cheaper drugs. Together, we’re gonna make something special.

Both Trump and Cuban were all smiles during the event. At least for the sake of this “special partnership”, it looks like the two have put their past behind them.
Mark Cuban deleted his post defending his appearance at the White House event
Considering Mark Cuban’s history with Donald Trump, it is not surprising to see him receive criticism and spark a reaction from the public on social media. The outspoken Kamala Harris supporter sharing the stage with Trump did not go down well amongst Harris’ supporters.
Following the backlash, Cuban defended the partnership. He wrote on X, “If anyone thinks I’m going to put politics ahead of helping Americans reduce their cost of healthcare and pharmaceuticals, they are ******* idiot.” However, Cuban later deleted the post. He returned to X after deleting the post.
Deleted the last post because I decided cursing didn’t make my point. It hurt it. And I rarely care about cursing.

Cuban refused to answer any political questions from the media after the event. His sole focus was to promote cheaper medicines in his partnership with the President.
