The Las Vegas Raiders seemed to have a strange encounter recently, as defensive end Maxx Crosby swore that he and his teammates saw a real UFO in the night sky as they were flying back from Miami. And as the Raiders always exuded a beyond-the-world aura, it isn’t a surprise that they experienced an outworldly phenomenon.

In a recent appearance with The Jim Rome Show, Crosby was asked whether he believes in the existence of aliens as lively creatures among us. He responded with the thrilling tale of witnessing a UFO.

There definitely is. That’s not even a question. Like we were literally on a flight back from Miami, and we’ve seen a UFO with our own eyes. And that sounds crazy, but you can ask the pilots, anybody that was there. It was wild. And I seen it, and they had no idea what it was.

Crosby claimed the crew members and the entire Raiders team witnessed the bright shining light in the sky, but nothing was deductible on the radar. Though the edge rusher didn’t reveal the timeline of this strange incident, it could be one of the two times Raiders played in Miami.

First, in the 2022 preseason, they were hosted by the Miami Dolphins on August 20, and then again in the 2023 regular season week 11 on November 19.

Maxx Crosby gets $6 million raise for 2024

Apart from the strange yet exciting encounter, Crosby recently had his contract revised with increased compensation for 2024 by $6 million. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported an additional $1.2 million was added for the 2025.

Moreover, the contract has now been extended to the year 2026 and the new average money on an annual basis of $23.5 million. However, it is still below the highest-paid 49ers star Nick Bosa, whose annual compensation is $32 million.

However, there’s a possibility that following the 2024 season, the Raiders might tear up the final two years of Crosby’s contract and offer him a revised deal closer to that of Bosa.
