Of all the NFL fan bases, the Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby surprisingly dislikes the Los Angeles Chargers fan base. Sure, Crosby has faced the Chargers on several occasions in his NFL career, but he is perhaps among the few who don’t like the Chargers fans in particular.

Players have mocked the other LA team, the Rams, in the past for failing to fill up SoFi Stadium, but this is something new. Crosby received immense hate from the Chargers fan base on social media for a late tackle on quarterback Justin Herbert.

[Justin] was barking in my ear and I [expletive] shoved him and he went flying down. Their fan base came at me like, you [expletive] junkie crackhead [expletive], like nonstop…I’m like, damn, but they’re crazy though. But, that’s just part of it, you know what I mean?

Crosby recorded a couple of sacks on Herbert last season. The All-Pro edge has played 13 times against the Raiders’ divisional rivals, racking up 36 solo tackles, 26 assists and 8.5 sacks.

Maxx Crosby names the Chargers fan base as the most toxic in the NFL

The Raiders went 0-2 against the Chargers in 2025, losing by a margin of 51-23. The Vegas franchise missed postseason football for another year while the Chargers made it in by finishing second in the AFC West, behind the Denver Broncos. However, they were knocked out in the wildcard round.

N3on asked Crosby who he believes is the most toxic fan base in the league. Crosby didn’t hesitate to name the Chargers fan base, while taking a dig at the team’s origins.

I think the Chargers [fan base] low key… Chargers do because they got a smaller fan base. They started in San Diego, so it’s like more, it’s more, you know, they’re not really an LA team. They’re not from LA. So, their fans like feel like they need to be louder because they don’t have as many. So they are really toxic.

Crosby said

Crosby is partly correct. Although the Chargers football team was established in LA, they spent a chunk of their years in San Diego. They still have a strong fan culture in SD. Many fans make the journey from SD to LA to cheer for their favorite team, but that’s not possible for every SD resident who supports the team—it’s a two-hour drive.

Maxx Crosby steals the show at a Vegas nightclub

There are still a couple of weeks left before the start of the training camp. So that means the players have enough time to unwind and let loose. That’s exactly how Crosby enjoyed his weekend under the Vegas nightlights.

According to an article from TMZ Sports, Crosby, 28, surprised the crowd at Marquee Nightclub by taking the stage under his rap persona, PlaqueBoy Maxx. Crosby wasn’t the only famous person in the room. TMZ’s piece revealed that boxing star Ryan Garcia, NBA players Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and John Wall, and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, Chargers star safety Derwin James and Super Bowl winner Von Miller were all in attendance when Crosby lit up the stage with his performance.

It capped off Crosby’s weekend after spending three days at the Sack Summit, hosted by Crosby and Miller. Perhaps Miller can join him on the Raiders, seeing as he is a free agent.
