Last night’s Dynamite involved one of the most shocking endings in the show’s history. Jack Perry finally exacted his revenge on Tony Khan by ambushing him. This segment became more compelling after The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada arrived on the scene. While it looked like the EVPs would help Khan, they ended up hitting him with the ‘Tony Khan driver’. Following the main event angle, Mercedes Mone expressed her thoughts on what transpired.
The former WWE Women’s Champion took to X and playfully suggested that she was now the “CEO” of AEW. Obviously, this was a reference to the moniker she has adapted since her debut. The brutal attack on Khan has certainly grabbed the attention of wrestling fans online. For the first time in its five-year history, the promotion’s founder finally got physically involved in a storyline.
Perry and The Elite sent a stern message to not only the president but also the rest of the roster. Although Mercedes Mone has claimed that she is the new CEO, it seems that the faction will be ‘running’ the show from now on. The 32-year-old appeared on last night’s Dynamite, setting up her clash with Willow Nightingale for Double or Nothing.

The two will be squaring off at the pay-per-view for the TBS Championship. Mone cut the champion’s celebrations short and ended up slapping Nightingale, which escalated their rivalry. Most importantly, their upcoming match will take place a year after their bout at Resurgence.
Will Kenny Omega address The Elite’s attack on Tony Khan?
AEW announced on last night’s show that Kenny Omega will be appearing on next week’s Dynamite. Taking place in his hometown of Winnipeg, The Cleaner might have a lot of things to get off his chest. The most intriguing part will be the changes that have been brought about by The Elite. Especially, after their attack on Tony Khan during the main event segment.
Prior to welcoming Kazuchika Okada into their group, The Young Bucks fired Omega from AEW. The EVPs lambasted their longtime friend by taking a shot at his inactivity. Therefore, The Belt Collector will definitely address the current landscape of the promotion and The Elite’s disgraceful actions on Dynamite.
Back in December, Omega was taken off television after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis. As a result, he has been recovering from the illness ever since. During this time, the former AEW Champion has started streaming on his Twitch channel, where he expresses his thoughts on wrestling.
