Minecraft Pillager Outpost: All you need to know!
Minecraft’s world has a lot of auto generated structures that come into being as soon as the world is generated. Among them is the Minecraft Pillager Outpost and we take a look at all its features.
The auto generated structures are very varied containing big mansions to small villages and even some watch towers. The structures all have various functions and players can also get abundant loot from them. However, to find them, players need to explore the Overworld and go on adventures.
Here are all the facts about one such dangerous but rewarding structure, the Minecraft Pillager Outpost.
Minecraft Pillager Outpost
The Pillager outpost is a watch tower like structure that is inhabited by pillagers and players can find them spawning randomly.

Locations
Pillager outpost can generated randomly throughout the world and are semi-rare to find. They can spawn in village generating biomes including, Plains, Deserts, Savanna, Taiga, Snowy Tundra, Snowy Taiga, Sunflower Plains, Taiga hills and Snowy Taiga hills.
They also spawns with some smaller structures like tents, targets, logs and cages.
Mobs found in Pillager Outposts
The Pillager Outposts are generated with two main mobs and these are:
- Pillagers
- Iron Golems
Pillagers and pillager captains spawn continuously around the Outpost and cannot spawn inside the tower. A total of 8 Pillagers and captains can spawn at once. Players can prevent the spawn by removing all grass and sand blocks around the structure and provide good lighting with Torches.
If players kill a Pillager Captain, they will receive the Bad Omen effect which can trigger a raid if the players enter a Village.
Iron Golems can spawn there but only in a Cage.

- Logs
- Target Dummies
- Tent
- Tent with Pumpkins
Chest Drops and loot
The top of the Minecraft Pillager Outpost contains a chest and good loot for the players to collect. Here are the drops that the players can get:
- Dark Oak Log
- Crossbow
- Wheat
- Bottle o’Enchanting
- Carrot
- Potato
- Arrow
- String
- Tripwire Hook
- Iron Ingot
- Enchanted Book
