MJF has spoken extremely highly of Seth Rollins and his influence on WWE. The AEW star also expressed concern about Rollins' injured knee.

Seth Rollins has unequivocally been WWE’s workhorse for well over a decade at this point. Since rupturing The Shield in 2014, the Iowa native has gone on to forge a Hall of Fame-worthy career that many budding wrestlers would dream of. That being said, AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman recently hailed ‘The Visionary’ while speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast.

MJF called Rollins a freak of nature and said that he’d go down as one of the greatest faces WWE has ever had. Friedman adjudged the five-time world champion as someone who’s extraordinarily talented. ‘The Devil’ also touched upon Rollins’ unfortunate knee injury, saying it sucks. Maxwell’s comments on ‘The Architect’ have been making the rounds on the internet, with the majority siding with the 29-year-old’s assessment.

He’s going to go down as one of the greatest faces in the history of that company. The same way I’m going to go down as one of the biggest faces in the history of my company.

‘The Salt of the Earth’ is undoubtedly the biggest homegrown talent AEW has seen since its inception. It would be hard to align Friedman with Rollins, as both have had entirely different career trajectories. However, in terms of what they mean to their respective companies, they’re indispensable. While Rollins doesn’t have many years left as an active wrestler, MJF has barely scratched the surface.

It’d be interesting to see the trash-talking New Yorker stand face-to-face with Rollins if he ever jumps ship to WWE. This year in March, ‘The Devil’ told Sports Illustrated that he’d still be absurdly young by the time his current deal with AEW expires. He signed a new one with the Tony Khan-led promotion in 2024. So there might be a chance for him to stand across from ‘The Visionary’ in the ring in WWE before the latter calls it a day on his in-ring journey.

How one misstep derailed Seth Rollins’ entire utopian dream?

Seth Rollins pulled out a rabbit from his hat at WrestleMania 41 as he aligned with Paul Heyman to eventually beat Roman Reigns and CM Punk in an epic triple-threat showdown. ‘The Revolutionary’ then recruited Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to bolster his standing in the company. Rollins even climbed his way to the Money in the Bank briefcase.

He had all the tools to control the balance of power on Monday Night Raw. However, while wrestling LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the Chicago Bears fan legitimately injured his knee. He had to be helped to the back by a couple of WWE staffers.

Amid an ongoing tussle regarding the severity of his injury, both Rollins and his oracle, Paul Heyman, have confirmed that he would be out of action for a long time. However, that doesn’t mean the MITB contract will be snatched away from Rollins, as he has until next June to cash it in. ‘The Architect’ was recently seen walking on crutches alongside his daughter Roux in a video posted by Becky Lynch on Instagram.

What was the original plan for Seth Rollins at SummerSlam before injury?

It seems like Seth Rollins‘ injury has had a domino effect on LA Knight as well. Their previous meeting at SNME was supposed to result in ‘The Megastar’s’ loss. However, the ugly landing by Rollins on his right knee precluded him from continuing the match.

An audible had to be called on the spot to devise an ending that saw Knight hit Rollins with a BFT and win. A new report from BodySlam has now revealed that Knight was originally planned for a rematch against ‘The Visionary’ at SummerSlam.

It’d have served as his revenge on Rollins and would’ve also elevated the fan-favorite Knight on such a grand stage. Does that mean ‘The Defiant One’ wouldn’t have anything left to do at the upcoming two-night PLE? There’s no word on that front as of now.
