“It speaks volume to what type of player he is”: Aaron Judge’s honest opinion about Red Sox rival Rafael Devers
Aaron Judge, Rafael Devers
The rivalry between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox has been a fierce one over the last several years. Naturally the stars that rep these franchises are also often seen as rivals, in this case it being Aaron Judge and Rafael Devers, for the Yankees and Red Sox respectively.
Despite the fierce rivalry, Judge knows well how to appreciate a good player. After missing the Yankees 6-5 loss to the Red Sox, Judge praised Devers for his fantastic performance at the game. “Oh, it’s been impressive,” he said according to NBC Sports. “It just speaks volumes to what type of player he is and what he can do, man.”

Aaron Judge impressed with Rafael Dever’s play
It’s been fun watching him from afar. I usually like watching him more on TV than when he’s facing us, but he’s a special talent. It’s fun to see him develop over the years,” continued Judge, who acknowledged Dever’s performance.
Devers’ strong hitting isn’t limited to a single pitch, either. Whether it’s a fastball down the middle or a sharp slider, the Red Sox star can hit that ball right out of the park. Judge is no stranger to knocking balls out of the park either. With his incredible consistency, the Yankees have been having a great season.
