“How did you screw up?” Anthony Edwards once BOLDLY questioned Alex Rodriguez about his break-up with Jennifer Lopez

Recently the name of Anthony Edwards has shined over in the NBA world. The young rising star has amazed the audience with his thrilling performances and is one of the top stars of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise. One of the team owners is MLB great Alex Rodriguez, who has developed a good relationship with him. However, now it seems Edwards might have gotten too comfortable with his boss as he reportedly asked how he lost Jennifer Lopez.
The Ex-New York Yankees superstar is no stranger to controversy. Popularly known across the world as “A-Rod”, the baseball star has had relationship scandals with several big names. None of them though was bigger than Jennifer Lopez, the renowned singer and songwriter. The couple dated for four years since 2017 and even got engaged in 2019. They later announced their break-up in 2021.
Edwards, popularly known as “Ant” across the NBA world, once stunned everyone when he failed to recognize Rodriguez. This was at the time when A-Rod had purchased the franchise and the youngster had no idea about him. The reason people were shocked was because A-Rod, even at that time, was one of the popular figures in sports.
According to NBA commentator Craig Kilborn, Edwards confidently asked the owner of his team how he suffered one of the biggest Hollywood-esque break-ups. Kilborn started off by narrating how the duo of Edwards and Rodriguez got close after the famous incident of him not knowing him. “I gotta ask you something, how did you screw up with J-Lo?” the commentator narrated to Timberwolves reported Dane Moore.

The love story of Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez had taken over the world. The two are household names in their respective industries and their coming together soon turned them into a high-profile couple. Their popularity was so much that even Anthony Edwards who had no idea who A-Rod was, had at least heard that he was together with J-Lo.
The young gun was in for a massive shock and was left stunned when a reporter told him that they had broken up. This happened when the media person asked Edwards whether he had seen any of his highlights. “Nah, I ain’t watch none, nah. I know he date J-Lo though,” he said. He would reply with a “What?” when he was corrected. The then 19-year-old was left a little disappointed with the development.
The reporters would notice that he was sad and later confirmed that he was also disappointed. When asked why, the basketball player replied “He gonna be my owner, I want him to be happy,” before adding “Yeah” to a question on whether the former Yankees star will be happy with J-Lo.
What was the actual reason behind the break-up of the duo is still a mystery. There had been reports that the involvement of Madison LeCroy had something to do with it. Fast forward to 2023, J-Lo is happily married to her former lover, Ben Affleck while A-Rod is now dating Jacyln Corderio.
