Jeter whose storied life and career as a New York Yankee is the subject of ESPN docuseries ‘The Captain’, recently revealed that his world since retirement is nothing like fans would imagine.
Derek Jeter shared his daughters Bella Raine, Story Grey and River Rose, he shares them with wife Hannah Davis, know him just as a dad. This legacy known to the Major League Baseball world is far away from the knowledge of his daughters. Derek Jeter was a part of an interview recently with Extra where he shared a few elements of his personal life.
“They have no idea,” Derek Jeter admitted to the outlet. “Well, my oldest will be five in a couple of weeks. Yeah, three and a half, seven months. So, they have no idea. They know that I played for the Yankees. You know, they see me on TV.”

Derek Jeter added, “They recognize me, especially during this documentary. But other than that, they have no idea, and I like it that way.” According to the former legendary shortstop, life at home looks like the one for a typical girl dad, lots of trail makeovers and being the resident family chauffeur.
“The mornings are early,” Derek Jeter continued. “Getting them up, they’re not in school right now, but dropping them off at school, picking them up. Tennis lessons, ballet lessons, you know … I’m getting my nails painted and makeup on my face, dresses. So, there’s a whole other side to me.”
Derek Jeter stated a few words with respect to his daughters, showcasing an impressive personality, “My girls are the absolute best,” the proud father said at the time. “You know, you hear it before you have kids, people will tell you, ‘Oh, wait until you have your own,’ but it really is true.”
He continued, “Every day there’s something new, and they learn something new every single day, It’s been wonderful. It’s been more than I ever could’ve imagined.”
