“He wasn’t the same after his head injury”: Jeremy Giambi’s details of tragic suicide revealed

Veteran Major League outfielder and first baseman Jeremy Giambi, 47, passed away in February at his parents’ home in Southern California. Recently, more details about his tragic death have been uncovered, especially in regards with his head injury. “We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of a member of our Green and Gold family, Jeremy Giambi,” the Athletics said on Twitter. “We offer our condolences to Jeanne, Jason, and his family and friends.”
The autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Department Of Coroner said that the former MLB star died after he shot himself in the chest. The autopsy report also said that he had suffered a severe head injury after being hit by a baseball. It was a very dark day for baseball, as they mourned the loss of a beloved star.

Reports said that he had not been the same since the injury, acting very negative, emotional and paranoid since the head injury. It showed how precious life is and sometimes people are battling demons that the world does not know much about, as Jeremy Giambi will be dearly missed.
This also brings about the issue of CTE — chronic traumatic encephalopathy — which is believed to cause depression, cognitive impairment, and increased aggression. It is a big concern amongst athletes who suffer from severe head injuries, and has proven to be fatal.
