21-year-old Julio Rodriguez has been having one of the most epic debut seasons in the Major League Baseball, the rookie has now etched his name in history. Julio is now the fastest MLB players to reach the feat of slugging 25 homeruns and stealing 25 bases (125 games), the record was last held by Mike Trout (128 games).

Julio Rodriguez did not stop here, his stolen base against San Diego Padres made him the 3rd rookie in the history of MLB to have at least 25 steals and 25 homers in their first season. Although Mike Trout 2012 and Chris Young 2007 were only considered rookies when they achieved the feat, it was not their debut season.

“Everything I do, every single stat I put up, I just do it for the team,Julio Rodriguez added. “I feel I’m not trying to put myself above anybody. I just want to be able to perform for the team.”

The Seattle Mariners won 6-1 over the San Diego Padres, and Rodriguez delivered his 26th HR of the season against Mike Clevinger proving that he is not just fast, he has strength too.

“It’s fantastic to watch a young player take off like that, as talented as he is,” Servais said. “But for me, one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while is when he’s standing at second base after 25th stolen base, and the crowds on its feet, and they put the thing on the scoreboard, and he flashes across his chest — it’s about the Mariners. That’s Julio Rodríguez.”
