MLB- Michael Jordan and LeBron James are GOATs of basketball. They are amazing in their own right, and carry a sense of authority and stardom that very few can handle. However, even GOATs can fanboy over other GOATs, especially in MLB.
A certain player especially had the power to sway both James and Jordan. James and Jordan were both seen in a video calling “The Kid” their favorite player growing up. “The Kid” is none other than legendary MLB player and Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.
Griffey Jr. is known to be one of the greats of baseball. With a career spanning over 2 decades, the athlete has won the All-Star player thirteen times and American League’s Most Valuable Player in 1997, just to name a few. Obviously, his name spread far and wide in the world, and made its way outside baseball as well.

Nicknamed ‘the Kid’, Griffey was the definition of cool back in the day. He was so influential that Jordan himself asked him for an autograph during an All stars game. It was a GOAT for a GOAT, and the sheer presence in the room was amazing.
It was indeed a legendary moment when Jordan asked the GOAT of Major League Baseball for an autograph. LeBron James also echoed the same sentiments regarding Griffey Jr. who will be remembered by all for times to come.
Ken Griffey Jr. had an immensely accomplished career in the Major League Baseball, The Seattle Mariners’ Hall of Famer had his jersey No. 24 retired. A 13 time All-Star (1990–2000, 2004, 2007), AL MVP (1997), 10 time Gold Glove Award (1990–1999), 7× Silver Slugger Award (1991, 1993, 1994, 1996–1999), the man indeed was a legend.
