“Makes me sick” – Texas Rangers get VICIOUSLY bashed on social media for taking an anti-LGBTQ stand while spreading religious propaganda at the same time

The Texas Rangers are the only team in MLB to not host any Pride month celebration. They are now being accused of spreading religious propaganda through "He Gets Us" campaign.

The month of June is globally celebrated as Pride Month. During the sixth month of the year, several big companies and industrial names show their solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. In the world of sports, several teams change their team logo with pride colors and embark on programs to celebrate it. One team that is getting bashed for not doing so is the Texas Rangers.

The current AL West leaders are the only MLB team not to hold a pride night celebration. While the Los Angeles Dodgers were slammed for inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Rangers held no events at all. This has led to wide scrutiny among fans on social media for their recent behavior.

The Pride Night celebrations usually include several activities carried out by the teams before the game. The Rangers earlier in a statement mentioned that promote a “welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment.” However, this has not gone down well with the fans and they have lashed at them for spreading religious propaganda.

The Rangers have been accused of refusing to acknowledge Pride Month. They have also been called out for placing religious advertising behind the pitching mound in their stadium. The slogan “He Gets Us” in reference to Jesus Christ has been attacked by users as a means of raising political tensions through religion.

As the team kept on getting slammed on the internet, the Rangers released a statement. The “He Gets Us” slogan is used as an advertising technique for the campaign. It is a religious campaign launched in 2022. The main aim of the campaign is to “reintroduce” the “Jesus” of the bible to younger generations.

The campaign itself has faced criticism from people around the country. The Texas Rangers, who last celebrated Pride Night in 2003, are now being labeled “hypocrites” for their actions. The MLB organization itself faced the heat of fans after they changed their logo back to normal.

Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here are some reactions from Twitter regarding this strange decision.

The decision to not hold any Pride Month celebrations is up for debate. The team perhaps wants to focus more on baseball than anything else. Speaking of the Rangers, they are currently 43-27, the second-best record in the league behind the Tampa Bay Rays. They have a four-and-a-half-game lead over the Angeles and defending champions Astros. This certainly promotes them for having no distractions in the long run-in.
