AJ McKee vs Alexander Volkanovski

The featherweight division of the Bellator is ruled by the newly crowned king AJ McKee, he won the belt after defeating Patricio Pitbull at Bellator 263, and he has been calling out top featherweights from all major promotions ever since.

He wanted to face the former featherweight champion Max Holloway, and now he has his eyes set on the current UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. He has called him out on several occasions, and now he is offering him $1 Million for the same.

Talking to The Schmo, he said, “Come down to Body Shop. We all know I just made a million. All you UFC fighters, PFL, wherever you at. If you feel you are the best 145-pounder in the world, I got a million dollars cash money. Come test it.”

McKee has been dominant in his run in the Bellator, and after defeating Pitbull, he claimed that he is the best fighter on this planet, in the same interview, he added, “I’m the best 145-pound fighter – not only the best 145-pound fighter – I am the best fighter in the world. And if you don’t know, you will know momentarily.”

McKee is yet to defend his title but a fighter like Volkanovski can prove out to be his worst nightmare, his last title defense against Brain Ortega was insane. He showed incredible resilience in that fight and completely destroyed Ortega over five rounds.

His rival Pitbull is also working hard for his rematch, he vacated his lightweight title as well, and he wants to avenge his loss against McKee. Although no official statement has been made about this rematch, this is the only fight that makes sense right now.
