EAGLE FC 44 results: UFC Legend Rashad Evans gets a win in professional fighting after 9 years
Rashad Evans secures a win at Eagle FC 44
A huge day for MMA fans as legend Rashad Evans returns from his retirement to secure a win at the co-main event of Eagle FC 44.
UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov’s MMA organization Eagle FC successfully made its US debut hosting Eagle FC 44. The event took place at the FLXcast Arena in Miami, Florida. The card was headlined by legend Tyrone Spong and in the co-main event UFC Hall-of-Famer, fan-favorite, Rashad Evans took on active MMA fighter Gabriel Checco.
The UFC legend retired from professional fighting in 2018 and this is his first official fight since then. Evans came into the fight in fantastic shape and defeated Gabriel Checco via unanimous decision. This was the first win for Rashad since the year 2013.

The judges scored the card 30-27, 30-27, 30-27, in Evans’ favor. His last win was against Chael Sonnen in 2013 in the UFC where he won the fight via TKO. Evans gave it all in the octagon and approached the fight with great gameplay. His use of kicks really threw his opponent off and stopped him from gaining momentum.
In the post-fight interview, Evans was very emotional and spoke about his thoughts on how the fight went. “The action happened fast and before I knew it I was just back in the fight. It felt like a dream. I felt the love again. I feel like I need to get in better shape but I’m open and I’m ready to roll. Eagle, I’m ready baby. Just put me in again,” said Evans talking to Henry Cejudo.
