Following a rapid rise to fame in the social media landscape, it seems like the fall of the former kickboxer is approaching.
Tate’s first claim to fame was when he was kicked out of the TV show Big Brother. After a video of him surfaced that appeared to depict him attacking a woman. After his rise in the social media landscape, he has been heavily criticized for his sexist commentary.

Earlier last week the former Kickboxer was banned from social media, the names include Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The platforms banned the controversial star from its platforms for violating its policies on dangerous organisations and individuals. Prior to the Instagram ban, Tate has amassed a whopping 4.7 million followers on his Instagram account.

After the ban from social media giant META, TikTok too banned the former Kickboxer. The company also stated that the platform will try to scrub any copycat clips of his content. Following his ban from the three major platforms, YouTube the biggest name in the digital mediascape has now banned the controversial star. Following the ban, YouTube said on Monday that it terminated channels associated with Tate over ‘multiple violations’ of its community guidelines and its terms of service, including its hate speech policy. The YouTube ban adds to a number of recent bans that have wiped out his online reach. In addition to Tate’s social media platforms ban, his online course Hustler’s University 2.0 was also shut down.

Although the controversial star is now banned from the most popular social media apps in the world. Reacting to the ban a spokesperson for Tate stated, “There is a running contradiction in today’s society where men are encouraged to speak and be open/honest with how they feel but are generally met with a negative response to their truth. Banning Andrew Tate from these platforms might seem the answer, but it isn’t that simple. Removing Tate’s voice doesn’t allow for a kinder hate-free society.”

The former Kickboxer’s provocative comments have attracted a large audience of both detractors and fans in recent times. His channel on Twitch only has 50,000 followers. Although, he has appeared on channels with as many as 6.4 million followers. Last week, over 100,000 concurrent viewers watched him live with top Twitch personality Adin Ross, who streams video games and online crypto gambling.

The former Kickboxer also reacted to the ban on the Twitch stream with Adin Ross. It would be interesting to see what Twitch decides to do with Tate’s account as the pressure from the media and social media users mounts. If the platform does ban the controversial star he will not be able to even appear on other people’s channels.
