MMA legend Demetrious Johnson recently participated in the 2024 IBFF Masters Panam Championships in Florida. Surprisingly, the 125-lb MMA fighter competed in the open-weight category. Moreover, he secured a win against a heavyweight Jiu-Jitsu fighter who weighed around 250lbs. But, this received a taunting reaction from Bradley Martyn.

Despite the huge weight discrepancy, the MMA community joined hands to appreciate Demetrious Johnson’s win. However, Bradley Martyn, who believed he could win against any MMA fighter due to his 260-pound frame, had a different opinion. Here is what he said:

Demetrious Johnson and Bradley Martyn have teased a grappling match between them for quite some time now. The initial talks started when Martyn expressed his supreme confidence in winning against Johnson in a fight. He backed his take owing to the huge weight difference. As such, he had previously challenged numerous other fighters including the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Chuck Liddell, Nate Diaz, and more.

While many criticized and trolled the bodybuilder, Demetrious Johnson remained friendly. The One FC champion just took it as a challenge to prove Bradley Martyn’s conceptions wrong. With his recent win over a 250lbs Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt, Johnson certainly proved his point. Nonetheless, Martyn wasn’t convinced and hilariously taunted the former UFC champion.

Bradley Martyn has garnered the attention of the MMA community with his absurd challenges to MMA fighters. The bodybuilder believed his 260-pound frame would give him the upper hand even against seasoned fighters. As such, he once challenged the flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. The former UFC fighter also accepted the challenge and proposed a friendly match with him.

In his appearance on the MMA Hour, Demetrious Johnson previewed a grappling match between him and Bradley Martyn. Here is what he said:

The biggest thing about the whole logistics is proving that just because you're big doesn't mean you can beat somebody who's smaller. Yes, if I wasn't a trained athlete, he would absolutely be stronger. But, I've been spending the last 20 years of my fu****g life dealing with people bigger than me...When was the last time, he wrestled somebody who's fu****g 300 pounds? He hasn't. I've dealt with this my whole entire life.
