Dana White can’t seem to be able to catch a break ever since he introduced The Power Slap League. First, the ridiculousness of the sport then, the fighter pay is less, and now, the danger that can potentially kill the fighters.
In combat sports, participants are always told to protect themselves as the first thing when they train. But in this sport, fighters get a free shot on their opponent exposing them to clean shots every time they hit with even Ryan Garcia also speaking against it. This accelerates the damage done to the brain and lowers their life faster than the boxers and Mixed Martial Artists.
Jewel Scott, a fighter competing in the Power Slap League, said, “I’m kind of thinking along the same lines with the thought in the front of my mind that I may get killed here, or I may die here”. “So I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to not only survive but win and be victorious”, he said.
With the hazards of the sport being so apparent to people, they have started speaking against Dana‘s league. Even though people enjoy violence as a sport, it seems they can’t seem to digest Power Slap League.

Fighters in Dana White’s Power Slap getting paid too less
Dana White’s Power Slap League has been in many controversies ever since it started. Recently, an ex-UFC fighter who was offered to compete in the league revealed the fighter pay for competing in the League.
Ex-UFC fighter, Eric Spicely, revealed he was offered a deal to compete in Power Slap League. He said he was offered $2000 to compete and if he won, he would get another $2000.
Fighter pay is an issue in the UFC itself, the amount being paid to fighters in the Power Slap League is ridiculous with the kind of danger the fighters are putting themselves in. Let’s hope Dana White will listen to the concerns of the community and at least provides them with insurance and higher pay than this.
