Recently, the fighter weighed in on the unjust demise of George Floyd. In 2020, Floyd was choked to death by the police due to a minor crime. As the whole world mourned his death, reactionaries defended the policemen. Jake Shields decided to tweet conservative talking points amidst the controversies. As George Floyd’s third anniversary came, Shields began his tirade on the sensitive topic.
Rumors suggest that George Floyd had a history drug abuse. Although it wasn’t confirmed, Jake Shields took to Twitter to joke about the matter. He wrote, “Congratulations George Floyd on hitting 3 years of sobriety.” The ex-UFC fighter replied to his tweet and wrote, “Also congratulations to George Floyd making 3 years with out robbing any pregnant women.” This tweet was in reference to an allegation that was made against Floyd.
