“I have been assured by the top of the top”- Kayla Harrison reveals an interesting detail on her possible fight against Cris Cyborg

PFL’s 2022 season is off and going, and the biggest star in the promotion right now is making her seasonal debut. Kayla Harrison has recently re-signed with PFL and will fight against Marina Mokhnatkina on May 6, 2022.

Kayla recently stayed with PFL after receiving offers from Bellator and UFC. Bellator offered her a very lucrative deal earlier this year, but PFL matched the offer and Kayla decided she was going to stick with what she knew and signed with PFL. Kayla currently has an undefeated record in MMA and she seeks to maintain that status.

In a recent interview ahead of PFL 3 2022, Kayla Revealed she signed a contract with Bellator and she was about to fight Cris Cyborg on April 22nd in Hawaii.

Kayla said, “I think it’s funny that she knew our fight wasn’t going to happen because I accepted a contract with Bellator to fight her on April 22 in Hawaii and the PFL matched the offer.”

Harrison once again discussed the possibility of fighting Cyborg in her recent interview with The MMA Hour, she said, “She’s going to become a free agent, now it’s her job, where is she going to sign? It sounds she wants to go box, which I already knew was going to happen. So I’m not in control of that and I don’t really want to talk about it anymore. I have nothing left to say. It is what it is. I’ll fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. I’m ready to move on.”

She added, “PFL used their right to match and I’m super happy that they did. I’m not upset that they did. I love the PFL, but yeah, I signed a contract. I’m not scared, I’m not running. Cyborg, if you’re not scared and you’re not running, come fight me here then.”

“I have been assured by the top of the top,” Harrison continued. “They want this fight too! Who doesn’t? Everybody wants this fight! They want it, I want it, the fans want it. They’re going to do everything in their power to make this fight happen.”
