Jason David Frank, a former mixed martial artist, and actor, has passed away in Texas at the age of 49. According to several reports, Frank committed suicide. On social media, Frank’s agent, Brian Butler-Au of Sucker Punch Entertainment, provided confirmation of the incident.
Brain Posted a pic with the former actor and wrote on Instagram, “Very sad to hear about my friend and client Jason David Frank’s passing. Jason was a martial artist best known for playing Tommy in power rangers. He was a true martial artist and I had the pleasure to managing him for the fights he competed in.”
Even the Powers Rangers Franchise paid tribute to the late actor. In memory of Jason David Frank, the official “Power Rangers“ Instagram account posted the following:
Jason David Frank’s performance in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is what he will be most remembered for. He portrayed Tommy Oliver, who was the White Ranger and Green Ranger in the television series. He also started his MMA venture in 2010 and was trained in various martial arts like Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

How did Jason David Frank do during his MMA career?
In 2009, Melvin Guillard, a former UFC competitor, helped Frank begin his MMA training. He faced Carlos Horn in his amateur debut in 2010 at UWC 8: Judgement Day, and managed to make his opponent submit to an armbar.
Jason David Frank has only fought once in the professional ring, defeating Jose Roberto Vasquez at Texas Cage Fighting – Puro Combate 1 via rear-naked choke. This win implies that Frank had a perfect winning record in his MMA career.
