Tate began training in kickboxing in 2005 and made his debut in 2007. His kickboxing record reads 76 wins, 9 losses, and 23 victories by way of KO/TKO. In this period, ‘Top G‘ became the world champion in two weight divisions.
In his final kickboxing contest, Cobra defeated his opponent, Cosmin Lingurar, via TKO in the second round in December 2020. Tate then decided to stop competing in kickboxing. Recently, a video of Tate during his fighting days has gone viral, where the fighter was shadowboxing. In the video, Tate’s hands were moving very fast, and many fight fans noticed it.
