23X1 Racings' Bubba Wallace alongside winner William Byron

23X1 Racing and Trackhouse Racing are two teams that are emerging out of nowhere as they put out a really good show in this years’ Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500. This weeks’ race in Atlanta saw William Byron take P1 but honestly, it could’ve been anyone from either of these 2 teams.

Drivers from both teams secured a really good spot at the end of Atlanta’s race. 23X1 Racing’s Kurt Busch stole P3 with Bubba Wallace placed 13th in contrast to Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez both stole a position in the top 5s.

23X1 Racing’s crew chief Robert Barker was extremely pleased with the teams’ effort after Bubba Wallace dropped to P13 due to the crash which was otherwise a potential win for the team. Bubba Wallace was the only racer who could keep up with the dominant William Byron until eventually getting caught up in that crash under the checkered flag.

That crash that engulfed Bubba Wallace’s chance of winning had hit him hard as he told Fox Sports at the in-field emergency care. The crew chief was obviously happy with Kurt Busch as he ended up taking P3.

During the interview succeeding the race, Robert Barker concluded by saying that the whole team always gives their best shot and that they let the rest fall into its’ place and also added that Bubba Wallace performed exceptionally which left him pleased.

“We go all out all the time, so you know, just do your best and let the chips fall where they may, but we were there. We were all there, and Bubba did exceptionally, so I’m pleased with our effort,” said Robert Barker in the post-race interview.

Trackhouse Racing also put up a pretty damn good show out there with both of its drivers finishing in the top 5. Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez had one hell of a race as they stood in P2 and P4 respectively at the end of the race.

Ross Chastain came back pretty decently despite suffering a tire deflation in the early stages of the race. After getting back onto the track, he still kept holding back with the fear of another deflation but as the race came to an end, he made certain bold moves that pushed him to P3 behind Christopher Bell but Ross Chastain ended up getting pushed to P2 due to Bell’s penalty.

Ross Chastain felt lucky enough driving one of these fast Chevrolets and he can’t imagine it getting any better as he finishes the race with a bang.

“We keep bringing these fast Chevys … like, I’m living my dream. So I can’t imagine it getting any better,” says Ross Chastain.

Daniel Suarez on the other hand finished in P4 for the second time this season and their organization head Justin Marks can’t get any happier as he exclaims his extreme happiness whilst celebrating with his team post-race. He later added saying that it was their approach that helped them achieve what they did.

Justin marks further added saying that the team knew they had an opportunity to get a better result and they kept pushing themselves till the end making the right moves at the right time bearing an excellent race for the company.

“They kept digging, knew that there was still an opportunity to get back in the hunt, and when they pushed the button at the end, they made the right moves at the right time, and it was a great result for the company,” said Justin Marks after the race.

Will either of these two teams emerge victorious in Circuit of The Americas?
