NASCAR CEO pays tribute to American bada** Kyle Busch

Ahead of the Coca-Cola 600 which is scheduled to be hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell talked to the media. In the emotional session, he called the veteran an American bada** and admitted that he is going to miss the beef with the veteran more than ever.

This sport is a badass sport. Kyle Busch is an American bada**… We certainly had our battles. But I would give a lot of money to have a few more battles.

Steve O’Donnell said via ESPN.

He recalled the time when the veteran pretended to be seriously injured, after a wild crash at Texas because NASCAR ordered him go to the infield care centre. He mocked them by lying flat on the cart and at the time O’Donnell was really mad. But now looking back at the moment he can see the funny side of the late legend.

He laid flat out on a pit cart, made fun of us. I was mad at the time, but I look back and that was damn funny, and that was Kyle.

Steve O’Donnell added.

NASCAR has no plans to reschedule or post-pone the Coca Cola 600 because of the veteran’s death. Talking about it, the new CEO asserted that the veteran won’t be happy if they don’t race and promised to honor the legacy of the champion driver the right way in the coming days.

Kyle Busch would probably be pretty [upset] if we didn’t race. So, we’re going to honor his memory and make sure people know what he was all about.

Steve O’Donnell asserted.

The comments from the sport leader are on point and his emotional comments shows how much the sport loved Kyle Busch and is going to miss the veteran. The void his death has caused won’t be filled anytime in the future.
