The NASCAR Cup series race at Talladega Motor Speedway was as more chaotic than many expected it to be as it featured a 28-car wreck and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. playing spoiler with winning in a photo finish. Before the big one, there was one other wreck that took out some big names in the second stage of the Yellawood 500.
Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman, with just a handful of laps left in the final stage of the race, gave the defending champion Ryan Blaney a poor push. This caused him to spin out and make contact with the wall, while also causing damages to the likes of Joey Logano and Ross Chastain, whose car caught on fire.
Blaney was furious at Bowman for causing the wreck and ruining his day. The HMS driver in his post-race interview took blame for the wreck and admitted that his crappy push of Blaney was a mistake, and the reason for the wreck. He was trying get more stage points, helping the lane he is, but he made contact with wrong spot of the Ford.
Alex Bowman hates his wrong decision and is frustrated
While further talking about the incident, Alex Bowman pointed out that he is really frustrated with the bad job he has done. He pointed out that his team did great job and gave him a faster car, but his mistakes didn’t help them to maximize on points. This not only ruined his day, but his rivals’ as well.
The No:48 Chevy driver has t learn from his mistake and should seek to not repeat the mistake that ruined his race at Dega in the coming events. If he can make it happen and give real fight for the race win, he has a good shot at winning the championship.
