Spire Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar has found himself in the middle of controversies this season over multiple wrecks he was involved. One of his biggest beefs was with Zane Smith, who wrecked the No:77 Chevy driver at Chicagoland in retaliation before calling out the racer and his “idiot fans” on a podcast.

The Spire driver has finally responded to the dramatic comments from his rivals and he didn’t hold back on his criticism. On his appearance on the Smart Girl Dumb Questions with Nayeema Raza podcast, admitted that they had had some wild accidents and mocked him over playing the tough guy with his criticism on the Racin’ with the Boys podcast.

He seemed very frustrated or mad about something. He tried to wreck me last year. I spun him out and wrecked him by accident, and so he tried to wreck me and missed. He wrecked himself, then he went on a podcast and played tough guy. We had like a little NASCAR hauler meeting because they wanted to squash the rivalry. They told me that they didn’t even know what was going on. They just saw what he did and thought there was a lot more to the story.

Carson Hocevar said recently.

The youngster recalled the meeting the duo had in the NASCAR Houler and how their conversation was confusing as well as hilarious at the same time. Carson Hocevar pointed out how they were laughing during and after the meeting, over the drama involving the drivers that isn’t really not his direct competitor.

They’re talking about how we need to chill out, ‘You guys need to learn how to race each other.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t care.’ I don’t even know what this is about.  ‘Wreck me again. You’re 0 for 2, try it again. I don’t care’ My crew chief told them they’re not a factor to us. We don’t care what they do, so it’s very one-sided. I just thought it was funny.  I was laughing. I got to talk to the NASCAR officials after, and we were all laughing.

Carson Hocevar calls his rivalry with Zane Smith embarrassing

The racer didn’t hold back, as he doubled down on his criticism of Zane Smith, calling him not a factor to his season considering the racer in just 23ed in point compared him who is in the top 10. He finds it embarrassing that his main rivalry is with a driver that is not ever in the playoff’s conversation.

I mean, it’s not really motivating. It’s actually almost embarrassing when the guy that’s like 23rd in points is like getting compared as your rival. I think he’s good and talented; his car’s just not super fast and whatever.

Carson Hocevar said.

Further talking about the point, the young racer also mocked Smith for having lame comebacks not being good Infront of the mic. Hocevar doesn’t really believe the beef between the two doesn’t have any entertainment value and doesn’t seem to be something that needs to be taken advantage of.

His comebacks are lame. There’s some guys that like I have gotten into run-ins with, and it’s funny to mess with them, or sometimes I’ll clap back, and I love it. I think it’s funny and I enjoy it, but like he is just kind of lame and I wasn’t entertained. I was more so left when I was seeing it online; everything he was saying and stuff, I was just like, ‘Does anybody even care about this or even think this is entertaining?

Carson Hocevar added.

The comment from the young racer seems curios and at the same time reasonable. The Smith beef doesn’t create the same buzz that an incident with Corey Heim does, and it is right for Hocevar to move on in order to focus on drama that benefit him.
