The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been a roller coaster ride for two times Cup winner Joey Logano, who now sees himself close to a third title. He came into the season expecting redemption after the poor title defense in 2023, and with the win at Nashville he was able to get into the post-season, fighting for the title.
But as the season reached Roud of 12, Joey Logano found himself eliminated following a poor performance in the round and failure maximize on points at Roval. Luck was in his side though as after the race, Alex Bowman’s car was found under weight and NASCAR disqualified him, giving last post-season spot to Logano.
I asked Chase Elliott how he felt about the debate surrounding the legitimacy of the 22 team's final four berth.

After Logano pulled of a surprise win at Las Vegas and secure his place in the finale, many fans started question the legitimacy of it considering the circumstances. Now 2020 Cup champion Chase Elliott has addressed these claims in an interview with Sportnaut’s Matt Weaver and pointed out that the Ford driver shouldn’t be blamed for it.
Chase Elliott explains how he will approach coming races
With two more races left in the season before the finale, Chase Elliott has found himself in a tough spot with the must win situation. But despite the desperation, he isn’t going to be over aggressive and is determined to be as clean as possible.
The No:9 Chevy team will have to put some extra work to make sure they can help their driver contend for wins. Having his teammates William Byron and Kyle Larson in the fight makes it hard as well. It will be interesting to see how she will perform in the coming races.
