The 2024 NASCAR season till the final race of the Round of 12, was impressive for Christopher Bell, as he had won three races and was consistently securing top-5s throughout out the season. But his championship-4 dreams were shattered after he was disqualified at Martinsville, for doing a mild version of the banned wall ride, on the final stages of the race.
Christopher Bell’s finale spot was given to William Byron, who was previously eliminated because after he tied on points with Bell. One of the reason Byron was able earn the extra points was his Chevy teammates Ross Chastain of Trackhouse Racing and Austin Dillon of Richard Childress Racing, blocking out rest of the grid on the last laps from getting closer to the No:224 car.
The No:20 Toyota driver has made some bold statements after the race over the incident, which NASCAR has decided to ignore. He alleges that it was disappointing race manipulation from the Chevy teams. Dillon getting a “knowing the deal” radio communication from his team and him asking if Chastain knows about the deal, suggest there was a coalition.

Christopher Bell might be also guilty of the same
But Christopher Bell cannot claim himself to be not guilty at the moment, as he was involved in a questionable move as well before the wall ride. It involved his Toyota teammate Bubba Wallace, on the final lap of the race.
The No:23 Camry suddenly slowed down, siting tire issues on the lap, allowing Bell to pass him and tie-on points with Byron. The kicker though was the fact that the No:20 Toyota was too fast entering the corner and made contact with the wall.
Christopher Bell and crew is heartbroken over the results, and it seems they will surely be looking into potential ways to appeal the situation and make it into the finale. But as things stand, there is no chance it would happen.
