The NASCAR community was in shock when it was announced that Daniel Saurez will exit Trackhouse Racing at the end of 2025 season, after failing to secure an extension. He has been the backbone of the team since it’s inception in 2021, but has been underperforming this season as well as in 2024. Now Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has sent a concerning warning to the Mexican American over his future.

The next big step that is ahead of Daniel Suarez at the moment is to finish his season strong and secure a seat for the upcoming season. It won’t be easy though as almost every team in the garage has long-term contract with their drivers, with teams like Kaulig Racing being his few remaining options. But he won’t be able to secure a better seat than Trackhouse ever in his career.

JR Motorsports co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. talking about the situation that the situation is pretty bleak for Suarez at the moment and there is no lateral move that is open for the ex-Xfinity Series champion at the moment. But the hopeful words that has come out from Suarez since the exit shows there might be some opportunities that is there for taking.

What openings are there? Where would he go that would be like a, ‘Hell yeah! This is just as good.’ A lateral move at least, right? There’s nowhere he’s going to go. There’s nothing, right?… He may be hopeful, and look, I could be wrong, and something could open up, and somebody might go, ‘Yeah, man. We’ll take this’.

Despite having more supports from sponsorship in terms of funding, compared many of the current drivers in the sport as well as being a proven race winner, there is a huge uncertainty over Suarez’s future. Junior knows one thing clear; there are not team that is going to offer the veteran racer something better than what Trackhouse has done over the five years he has been with them.

But I don’t believe there is a move where you could go, ‘Man, he’s stepping into something better.’ He has support, sponsorship, he has some funding. I just don’t see an opening where Suárez can go and that’s as good or better (than Trackhouse Racing).

Trackhouse Racing boss breaks silence on latest Daniel Suarez-Ross Chastain drama

One of the big controversies Daniel Suarez has found himself in after the announcement happened last week at Sonoma Raceway. His teammate Ross Chastain spun him out in a chaotic incident in the race, making him to go on radio rant and make revenge threat. Now the team boss Justin Marks has addressed the situation, asserting the No:99 Chevy driver was right to be angry.

I certainly understand the frustration on Daniel’s side. I mean, you know, Ross just got into the corner too hot, and you know, spun Daniel out, and Ross was kicking himself for that. I mean, he got on the radio during the stage break and took full responsibility for it. You know, Daniel was upset afterwards. Do not blame him for that one second…it’s just sort of a tough spot for the team

Justin Marks said.

The comments from Marks shows the team agrees with Suarez regarding the beef and backs him. This also shows despite the imminent exit, the racer still has full backing of the team and has a good dynamic that has helped them to settle the beef between the two. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to layout for the Chevy driver in the coming years and what NASCAR has for him beyond 2025.
