Dale Earnhardt Jr. Doesn’t Want Carson Hocevar to Change Despite Brad Keselowski Controversy

Carson Hocevar has become one of the biggest talking points in the NASCAR community for all the wrong reasons after the Darlington race. Him wrecking Brad Keselowski and acting nonchalant with the media was seen as disrespectful by majority of the racing community.

This has gotten the attention of Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and he has shared his thoughts on the youngster in the latest episode of the Dale Jr. Download podcast. He highlighted the entertainment factor the No:77 driver bringing to the sport and asserted that he doesn’t want the driver to change anything about him.

I like a lot of what I see. I like that. We need the rivalries, the entertainment of it. We need it. And he’s providing it, man. If you pulled Hocevar out of the field entirely, man, I don’t know that I like it as much as him being involved in it. I don’t have anything that I would tell him to do differently.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said on his podcast.

But there is one thing the two times second division champion needs from Carson Hocevar. HOF Dale Earnhardt Jr. admitted that he wants to know if the Spire Motorsports driver wrecked Brad Keselowski on purpose. He promised to have a private conversation with the racer to clear the air about it.

Other than I would love to know if he ***** up or did he do that on purpose? And I don’t think he’s going to tell us that. I could probably call him and have that conversation with him privately.

Further talking about the point, the champion driver admitted that while he is okay with Hocevar right now there will particular situation where he will be frustrated. If the Spire Chevy ever get into an incident with Josh Berry and Ryan Blaney, the fan in Junior will be furious.

Race fan me is good with it. Unless I mean, if he ran into Josh Berry, I’d have a different opinion. Can I be honest? What do y’all want me to lie?  If he ran into Blaney, I’d be like ****, dude, Blaney, go kick his ass.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. asserted.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. likes Denny Hamlin’s criticism of Carson Hocevar and Spire Motorsports

In the same conversation, Dale Jr. also talked about Denny Hamlin calling Spire Motorsports an unserious organization via Actions Detrimental podcast. He likes the drama the sharp comments from the three times Daytona 500 champion and asserted that the dig has gotten under the skin of most at Spire.

I love when we get Denny Hamlin coming on his podcast and saying they’re an unserious organization. Denny Hamlin is really sharp, and he knows how to dig, and he knows how to really get you good.  He’s not a person that throws jabs out there often, but that’s going to get under their skin.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.

That’s why Jeff Dickerosn called out the Joe Gibbs Racing veteran over the comments. The ongoing lawsuit over Chris Gabhart, might have played a significant role in the continuing drama. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming days.
