The NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday witnessed some big wrecks as expected, with the most significant one being the incident that involved Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace. There has been a lot of debate in the community on who should be blamed for it and Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn’t happy about this discussion.
The incident happened earlier in the race, when Bubba Wallace’s No:23 car got a nudge from behind from Kyle Larson’s No:5 Chevy, while he was squeezing Joey Logano and Kyle Busch. The 23XI Racing Toyota spun out and collected multiple cars, including the championship winning veteran that raced alongside him, ruining their playoff chances.
Soon after the incident, discussion started on who should be blamed for the incident and it still going on among the community. Dale Earnhardt Jr. really hates this discussion, and he went on passionate rant about why it is really unnecessary to pick who to blame whenever there is a big one, considering this is part of Superspeedway racing.
The big one: Who’s to blame for the wreck? That, why is everybody so wanting to blame some f****** body for this s***? It’s just a wreck.

Further talking about the point, Junior asserted that the insistence on pointing fingers after big wrecks are pretty disappointing. The veteran believes this conversation isn’t part of the sport that evolving like NASCAR. He seems to indicate there was no need of such big discussion on normal superspeedway incidents.
I don’t know that we need to be so… it’s just like this f****** insistent ********. Do you not see that? It’s like as we’re going through time, right, as we’re evolving like we’re having to be more, there’s this insistence to like, ‘This was his fault’ or ‘this was this person’s fault’ on everything.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. explained how Denny Hamlin settled the blame debate
In the same conversation, Dale Jr. addressed the comments from 23XI boss Denny Hamlin. The No:11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driver admitted that the incident happened because of the mistake from his own driver. It was a no-clear situation, and the No:23 team failed recognize it.

Junior pointed out that Hamlin ended the whole debate by criticising Bubba Wallace and his spotter for the incident. The noise over it was most probably due to the fact that it ruined the race for multiple drivers that started the race in a much win situation.
This kind of s*** right here is just what might happen today when you go to Daytona or Talladega. And in the past when there’s been big wrecks like this, yes, there will be a quick, ‘Well, I could see what happened there. That guy hit this guy and that guy wrecked that guy. He moved this way’ and there’s a person at fault for sure. But this was like a two-day conversation that Denny had to finally settle.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.
The comments from the Hall of Famer seems pretty rational and the people commenting about the big ones at Tracks like Daytona or Talladega should just let some things go. It would be interesting to see how the community is going to respond to the bold comments made by the star driver.
