Chase Elliott came into 2024 NASCAR Cup season with the hopes of redemption, after having the worst year of his career in 2023 after missing six races due to a snowboarding injury. He marked his comeback with a win at Texas Motor Speedway and is now finds himself a win away from the championship-4 entry.
But Chase Elliott hasn’t been racing on the similar level as his teammates William Byron and Kyle Larson. At Miami last week, the No:9 Chevy driver produced a better race than his teammate and Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., seems really impressed with it. He asserted that Elliott has shown massive progress compared to last two season and has proven his talent yet again.
Junior pointed out that despite already being a champion, Chase Elliott is still a student of the sport and is working hard to re-stablish himself as a championship contender in the much more competitive state it is now in the Next-Gen era.
Kevin Harvick praises Chase Elliott’s impressive speed
While discussing Chase Elliott performance in his podcast, Kevin Harvick highlighted that the No:9 team has shown impressive pace and pointed out that the newfound aggressive style is helping him. He also implied that how Elliott is frustrated about how the driver with aggressive style is getting more attention.
The points made by Kevin Harvick makes a lot of sense, as Elliott has been a driver that has never been comfortable with aggressive style of racing. As Harvick suggested having a bit more aggressive mentality has been helping him and might be factor in his future accomplishments.
