Trackhosue Racing has announced that they have signed a one-year contract extension with their Mexican-American driver Daniel Suarez. He has been with the team from their beginning in 2021 driving the No:99 car and would remain to do so for at least one more year, despite the competition from the extended driver line-up of Trackhosue.
Daniel Saurez is currently the only Trackhosue driver with a guaranteed spot in the playoff. He secured his spot in the last 16 by winning the Talladega race, while his teammate Ross Chastain is a tough position as he is sitting at P16 in points table with just a 7 points buffer. If things go wrong Suarez would be their only hope at progressing the post-season.
While talking about the contract extension, Suarez pointed out that Trackhosue Racing is like a home to him and he has always enjoyed being with the team. His palm is to keep developing and keep winning more races with the team, with huge support from his primary sponsor Freeway Insurance, who have been with him for many years.
Trackhouse is home to me and I have enjoyed every minute I have been here. We plan to keep working, growing and winning more races. We can only do that with the support of my Amigos and Amigas at Freeway Insurance. They have backed me for the last several years and we have grown close with their customers and employees.Damiel Suarez said via Motorsports.com.
Justin Marks shares his verdict on the decision
Team’s co-owner Justin Marks pointed out that everyone at Trackhosue Racing is delighted to continue their relationship with Suarez and his sponsor. He admitted that the driver has been vital part of their team since day one.

Everyone at Trackhouse Racing is pleased to continue the relationship with Daniel and Freeway Insurance. Daniel has been vital to this team and its culture since the first day. Freeway joined that same year and we have all continued to grow together and will continue into 2025.Justin Marks said.
There has been a lot of uncertainty over the future of the Mexican with Shane van Gisbergen and Zane Smith waiting on the sidelines. But now with the decision, Trackhosue has confirmed that they haven’t yet lost faith on their driver. It would be interesting to see how Suare would perform in the coming races of 2024, with no more career uncertainty.
