Since the start of the 2023 season, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin has been doing the Action Detrimental podcast. Within a handful episodes it has become one of the best racing podcasts. It has produced some of the most hilarious and controversial moments the sport has seen over the last couple of seasons.

Recently the show had yet another hilarious moment for the fans. While reading one of the reviews about the podcast, Denny Hamlin encountered a racing fan who introduced himself as the fan of both Kyle Busch and Joey Logano. The JGR driver was baffled with the claim as Busch and Logano, who are his former teammates shares an iconic rivalry.

Hamlin hilariously asked the fan to get his head checked out as he reckons it’s not normal to be fan of Busch and Logano at the same time. The 23XI Racing co-owner pointed out that the two times NASCAR Cup champions are exact opposite of each other in-terms of character on and off the track. Hamlin also asked the fan to reach him out and explain to him, how he became a fan of both.

How’s that — this guy has problems anyway, if he’s a Kyle Busch and [Joey] Logano fan? That’s oil and water… You might need to get your head checked, if you’re a Logano and Busch fan. So I appreciate your review, but you’re going to have to hit me up on social and let me known how you became fans of both, because these two guys might be as opposite as you possibly can, possibly can get. And maybe that’s — he just wants to cover his bases.

Denny Hamlin advocates for Kyle Larson to get a waiver

One of the biggest controversies right now in the Cup garage is the delay in decision making from NASCAR over a waiver for Kyle Larson after he missed the Coke 600 due to rain delay during his double attempt. Denny Hamlin has urged NASCAR to give the HMS driver the waiver as he believes Larson gave everything to race at CMS and it’s the rain the cost him the chance.

Yes and no. I mean, I don’t know when they submitted it, and what usually is the timeline of accepting or denying in a certain amount of time. But certainly, I think that they made their best efforts to get there. I understand NASCAR’s part, of wanting to protect themselves, from this happening in the future, but you know, I think that they made good-faith efforts to race.

The future NASCAR Hall of Famer has a well-rounded opinion on the matter and what he said is one point regarding the waiver. If Larson didn’t get the waiver before the next episode of the Action Detrimental, he would surely will have some bold comments about it.
