‘He was just mad to lose the race,’ Alex Bowman on Kyle Busch’s Las Vegas rant following his loss

Alex Bowman is one of the most underrated or under-appreciated drivers in the NASCAR grid as he is often credited less for his wins. Among the five Hendricks Motorsport drivers on the grid, Alex Bowman is the second-best driver they have just behind regarding NASCAR cup series champion Kyle Larson in terms of on-track performances.
Following a slow start to 2022 Alex Bowman bounce back to winning ways winning the Pennzoil 400 edging his teammate Kyle Larson in the last lap of the race. Team Hendricks’s win came with the help of a risky pit strategy they undertook with the tires but not everyone was happy or appreciative of his in.
Two times cup series champion and Kyle Busch, who missed out on a home win after he lost his front spot in a restart with only 3 laps left, went on an angry rant against Alex Bowman dis-crediting his win. Now Alex Bowman has come out expressing his opinion that this isn’t any bad blood between them as Kyle Busch’s words were because of the heat of the moment.

Alex Bowman acknowledges that everything is good between him and fellow competitor Kyle Busch as he believes there isn’t an issue among them. He went on to clarify that the reason behind Kyle Busch’s outrage was just the fact that he lost the race. Alex Bowman went on to say Though he is not worried about the negative comments on his win sometimes it is frustrating as he isn’t that well credited for his win.
“Everything’s good, everything’s fine. He was just mad to lose the race. I totally understand that. I didn’t do anything to him besides taking the race away. I don’t think there’s an issue between him and me,” Alex Bowman said.
“There’s just kind of a common thread that I’m not going to get credit for anything, ever. It is what it is. We’ve won five Cup races in the last calendar year, so I’m not really too worried about it. It’s frustrating at times,” Alex Bowman added.

Alex Bowman went on to say he finds the negative comments surrounding his win give him a lot of motivation to bounce back and fight for the title this year as he went on to take a dig at individuals not crediting him enough for the win saying they have to figure out how to discredit him if he wins the championship.
“That’s just kind of the way things have been no matter what the situation is. Just gives me a lot of motivation to try to go chase a championship this year and then let everybody try to figure out how they’re going to take credit away from that, too,” says Alex Bowman.
