‘He’s thrown his spotter under the bus,’ Bubba Wallace’s spotter calls out Kyle Larson for his comments after Fontana incident

Reigning Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson won his first race of 2022 topping the Wise Power 400 in Fontana, California. But it wasn’t the Kyle Larson win that made headlines the next day as the champion won his race by pinching his teammate Chase Elliott, who was making an advance on him from outside, to the wall eventually forcing him out of contention.
Kyle Larson later came out expressing his version of the incident saying he was unaware of the fact that it was Chase Elliot who was gaining on him adding his spotter informed him about the driver gaining on him from outside and he went for the block.
Following the incident, Kyle Larson’s spotter, Tyler Monn came out apologizing through his Twitter handle tweeting “Today I made a mistake. I will take full responsibility for what happened on track today. I was worried more about the 22 and not the 9. It was a late call on me it had nothing to do with Kyle,”
But now in a recent podcast with Door Bumper Clear Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft has come out expressing his thoughts on Kyle Larson blaming the incident on the spotter saying he is not impressed by the champion blaming his spotter on live TV.
Find out what Freddie Kraft said about the Kyle Larson incident in Fontana
Freddie Kraft, who is the vocal spotter for Bubba Wallace is not impressed by Kyle Larson redirecting the blame for the Fontana incident with Chase Elliot to his spotter Tyler Monn. Freddie Kraft criticized Kyle Larson for putting the spotter in trouble for the second time in two weeks even though he has so much experience driving without one pointing out the fact that Kyle Larson is racing a probable 30 races this year without the spotter.
“Here’s what I don’t understand: Kyle Larson races whole life without a spotter. Kyle Larson races now probably 30 times a year without a spotter, and this is now two weeks in a row that he’s thrown his spotter under the bus,” Freddie Kraft said.
“The thing that bothers me is getting out there two weeks in a row now, and essentially blaming your spotters on TV and interviews,” Freddie Kraft added.
Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace will hit the track once again this Saturday for practice and qualifying sessions of Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas before the final race on Sunday. Kyle Larson will be hoping to defend his title in Vegas whereas Bubba Wallace will be in for improving his race after a disappointing run in Fontana.
