Loads of drivers try out their luck on the NASCAR ladder but ultimately succumb to the increasing pressure. On the other hand, Rajah Caruth is slated to be a future Cup Series driver and fight for wins. Moreover, the 22-year-old has been a prominent face in the Truck series and has impressed fans worldwide which led fans to speculate that he would be promoted to the Xfinity series as soon as 2025. Following which, Bob Pockrass revealed HMS’ intentions with the No.71 driver.

Rajah Caruth‘s journey into racing was an obscure one. The 22-year-old started racing on iRacing and participated in the eNASCAR Ignite Series. He was then enrolled in the D4D program which aided him in achieving his racing dreams and has successfully left an impression on NASCAR giants after winning the race in Las Vegas earlier this year.

Rajah Caruth reflected on his friendship with Bubba Wallace

Though the chances of the SM driver moving to Xfinity are slim, the 22-year-old has found great mentorship through Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace, which would aid in his cause to move up the ranks. Subsequently, when asked about his relationship with the 23XI Racer, Caruth explained how he is grateful to have Wallace as a close one.

The SM driver elaborated that Wallace had been with him since his initial days when he raced in legend cars. Moreover, he claimed that the 30-year-old has been with him at every point of his life and has applauded him on his triumphs like his win in Las Vegas.

For us it's great because he's been there with me since my first race in legend cars, my first Xfinity starts, the highest and the loest moments, he's been there. And held me accountable for things to do better and uplift me where I've done stuff well.
Bubba Wallace said in an interview with NBC

Despite the enthusiasm around the 22-year-old, he missed the playoffs this year by fine margins. Thus, this could be the reason behind his non-promotion to the senior ranks as he was unable to qualify for the playoffs despite being a winner in 2024.
