The NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway witnessed history, as part-time 23XI Racing driver Corey Heim produced an impressive run to win his second race of the 2026 season and become only the second driver to win twice in Cup by 15 starts after AJ Foyt. The whole community is impressed with the racer who is clearly the future of Toyota and 23XI.

One of the supporters is the three times Cup champion Joey Logano, who finished the race P3 behind him. He highlighted how talented the TRD driver is and pointed out that Heim is capable of having a long, successful career in the sport. The fact that the youngster remains calm and composed under pressure is a massive advantage that would yield him great results in the long run.

He’s really talented. Turns out, I know his trucks are good, but I think the driver was spectacular.  He’s got it. We’re going to be battling him forever. He’ll be here longer than me. He’s a lot younger than me, but he’ll be here the whole time. Just a solid racecar driver. He does the right things. He doesn’t get risky. He doesn’t get nervous. Just executes really well.

Joey Logano said after the race.

RFK Racing owner driver Brad Keselowski also shared his thoughts on Corey Heim, just like Joey Logano, after the race. He highlighted the key factors behind the racers’ success in the 2026 season. The veteran asserted that the Toyota clearly have a pace advantage, having a solid pit-crew at 23XI and him being a good racer played a key role in his two wins this year

Toyota [is the reason for it]. He’s doing a good job. You can’t take anything away from Corey. He’s executing these races well. He’s not beating himself. His pit crew is doing everything right. And he’s in the fastest cars. It’s really impressive.

Brad Keselowski highlighted, as reported by Fox Sports.

Christopher Bell Parises Corey Heim over impressive Indy win

Corey Heim’s TRD teammate Christopher Bell, who finished the race at P2, also showered praise on the 23XI driver. He pointed out that the youngster produced a magnificent run in the final laps to hold on to the race lead, despite is car not having the right balance and didn’t make a single mistake on the way to the win.

He put together a magnificent last run. He was loose. My guys were saying he was loose. I could kind of see him wiggling a little bit. He did a great job, and he didn’t make a mistake and won the race.

Christopher Bell asserted.

Further talking about the racer, Bell highlighted that Heim is blessed with great talent and a strong team in 23XI, that is going to help him in the long run. The youngster has already proved he deserved to race among the elites of the sport.

Clearly, he’s with a great team. And he’s a great driver. He’s a Cup guy. He’s going to do really well next year.

Christopher Bell added.

Next year will mark the full-time debut of the star driver, replacing Rielly Herbst. Bell, like the majority of the community expect the racer to be challenge for race win from day one of his rookie season. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming years.
