Mexican driver Daniel Suarez has been making waves in NASCAR. The 33-year-old won the Xfinity Series race at his home track a couple of weeks ago. While Suarez has been steadily gaining a fan following in the sport, he announced a major change for next season. The No. 99 driver will be leaving Trackhouse Racing after the end of 2025. Now, Trackhouse owner Justin Marks has commented on his star driver’s exit.
Suarez announced his departure from Trackhouse Racing on X. The Mexican driver claimed that the two sides parted ways on mutual agreement. Upon backlash on social media, Daniel Suarez asserted that he was not sad over his exit. Rather, the 33-year-old teased greener pastures for the 2026 season.
Daniel Suarez joined Trackhouse Racing in 2021, when the team first started testing for its NASCAR debut. Since then, Suarez has played a pivotal role in the Marks’ squad’s rise in the Cup Series. Thus, losing the Mexican driver will be a big blow for Trackhouse, unless they can secure a decent driver for the No. 99 car.
Justin Marks praised Daniel Suarez, claiming that the 33-year-old was a major part in the origin story of his team. The Mexican’s contribution will continue to pay dividends on track for Trackhouse Racing. Marks reckoned that Suarez’s work ethics and focus was incredible, the standout qualities in the 33-year-old. Moreover, the Trackhouse Racing owner insisted that it was an honor to have such a talented driver in his garage for the past few years.
The role Daniel has played in the Trackhouse origin story and its first five years will remain a valued part of the company’s history forever. His commitment, work ethic and dedication to the effort is one of the most impressive things I personally have seen in my career. We will forever be thankful and honored that Daniel chose to spend many incredible years with us.
