23XI Racing Bubba Wallace has been one of the inform drivers in the current grid and was consistently finishing inside the top-10 in the last five races of the season. But he encountered a massive disappointment last week at Michigan. He got wrecked in a late stage-2 incident caused by Kyle Larson.
Bubba Wallace had a strong car capable of potentially landing him his 3ed Cup race win, as he was racing inside the top 5 most of the race. He is currently P17 in the championship table, with one point less than major rival Ross Chastain to secure a spot in the last-16 on points. This Sunday will mark his best ever shot at winning a race, with Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona.
2014 NASCAR Cup champion Kevin Harvick while predicting the Daytona race winner, revealed that he expects 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace to come out as the top guy. He is banking on the TRD drivers’ natural ability at Superspeedways and has also confidence in the new found mentality of the No:23 Camry driver.
They ran well enough at Michigan to be able to put themselves in the conversation. But I love where he’s at mentally. I just love his space right now and just the things that he’s doing and the way that they’ve come back from the break and performed. And I think Daytona’s a good track for him.Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.
Kevin Harvick gives his verdict on Corey LaJoie’s car flipping at Michigan
One of the wildest incidents from the race last weekend at Michigan was Corey Lajoie’s car flipping late in the race. Kevin Harvick talked about the same in the Happy Hour podcast and admitted that the incidents was something knew.
We've seen that happen several times when somebody's pushing on the left side door and helps them kind of get lifted off but that car just lifted off all on its own...We've seen a few of these cars flip over and it seems like when they get to just these weird instances.Kevin Harvick said.
Though some drivers raised concerns over the crash, many are not much worried about it. They don’t think anything unusual has occurred and reckons it is just a normal incident. It will be interesting to see NASCAR’s response to it.
