The NASCAR Cup garage is at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the crown jewel race weekend after the chaotic Dover Motor Speedway All-Star race. It’s going to be one of the biggest physical and emotion challenge for the racers this season. Katherine Legge’s historical double attempt makes the weekend more special.
Hall of Famer Kevin Harvick made his prediction for the weekend, and he has picked Joe Gibbs Racing’s 44-year-old veteran Denny Hamlin to come out victorious. He picked the No:11 team to triumph last week’s All-Star race and got it right. The Fox Sports broadcaster is expecting the same to happen this week as well, with the JGR racer potentially securing his second career Coke 600 win.
I already told you I’m riding the Denny Hamlin train. He’s going to win again.
Kevin Harvick said on his podcast.
Kaitlyn Vincie, the co-host of Kevin Hravick, took the similar route with her prediction and picked Ryan Balney to win the event. Justin like Denny Hamlin, the Team Penske driver has one win at the venue and the No:12 team seem to have gotten over the bad luck that have been haunting him so far in the 2026 season.
So, what’s funny is I’m picking Ryan Blaney again, even though I picked him last week. But I feel like he’s gotten his bad luck out of the way. He won this race in 2023.
Kaitlyn Vincie asserted via Happy Hour podcast.
The third host of the podcast, Mamba Smith though didn’t stick with his pick from last week, Bubba Wallace. Instead, he went for JGER’s No:19 Camry driver Chase Briscoe, who like Blaney is slowly redeeming himself after a tough start. He went for the TRD driver despite the urge to select someone from Hendrick Motorsports.
I really want to go Team Hendrick. I really do. But I think I’ve got to go Chase Briscoe.
Mamba Smith added.
Kevin Harvick warns Ryan Blaney and Chase Briscoe
Talking about the picks made by his co-hosts, Kevin Harvick highlighted how the two Briscoe-Blaney duo has the best opportunity to get back into the championship conversation at charlotte. They are a lot of points at stakes in the Coke 600 owing to the four stages the event has.

And he’s another guy that, from the All-Star Race, right, they finally put a whole day together. This is a great weekend to make up points with the four stages and everything that goes with the 600.
Kevin Harvick said.
These two drivers need the extra points, more than anyone and if they can capitalize on the opportunity, they can reduce the gap to front-runners significantly. In other words, the weekend will determine their title hopes.
It’s a great weekend to get some extra points and if you can win the race, get some extra stage points and all the things that you can capitalize on, they better start doing it pretty quick. Because their championship hopes every week that goes by goes down, down, down.
Kevin Harvick added.
The veteran is on point, as many drivers in the current garage that has failed to show up yet has the opportunity finally make their mark at Charlotte and get back upfront. It would be interesting to see who would prevail on Sunday.
