Spire Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar has gained more notoriety in the first two races of the 2026 season that he ever did last year. He has been involved in wrecks of Joey Logano, Christopher Bell and more, ruining their races while securing good finishes for himself.

2014 Cup Champion Kevin Harvick in the latest episode of his Happy Hour podcast, has shared his thoughts on the situation and warned Carson Hocevar that he is on thin ice at the moment. The veteran highlighted how making risky moves on tight spaces is the Spire drivers racing style.

I feel like Carson is going to take a run. He’s going to plug a hole every chance that he gets. He’s going to put you three-wide. He’s possibly going to put you four-wide. If you open the middle up, he’s going to take a chance, like he did with Christopher Bell, to fill that hole. Especially when he’s racing for a win.

Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.

The ex-SHR driver doesn’t think racing aggressively is wrong, as with the Next-Gen car making racing closer than ever, risky moves have become necessary. But there is a limit to which the old guards of the sport will remain silent, as they will take revenge in order to send a message to the youngster.

He’s not going to worry about it when he gets out. I think that’s the part where all the other drivers are — it kind of pisses them off…. I don’t think he’s doing anything wrong. I think he’s racing aggressively. But when you put people in bad positions over and over and over, eventually somebody is going to take that method and make sure that they send that message.

Kevin Harvick added.

When asked what he would have done about Hocevar, if he was still active in Cup, Harvick was quick to respond. He admitted that he would have already wrecked the Spire driver in the first chance he gets and making sure the younger gets his humbling moment.

Co-Host: If you’re a competitor and you’re racing against him, what do you do to show him that you’re not going to do that?

KH: I think the way I would approach it is, I’d probably wreck him the first chance I got. I mean, if it was me, I would.

Kevin Harvick asserted.

Kevin Harvick expects Kyle Busch to send a message to Carson Hocevar

In the same conversation about Hocevar in the podcast, Harvick named Kyle Busch as a driver who might send a Message to Hocevar. The RCR veteran was involved in multiple incidents with the youngster the last two week and he might eventually retaliate.

Kyle has been critical, but Kyle hasn’t run with Hocevar as far as the speed and being competitive consistently in the first two races. …There’s a lot of guys that talk about it, but if you’re going to take the bull by the horns and send a message, you’re going to have to be the one that does it.

Kevin Harvick said.

Another reason Harvick might have picked Busch, is the fact that the Chevy driver is one of the most frustrated racers at the moment in the garage owing to his two-year winless streak. It would be interesting to see how long it will take for the veterans to wreck Carson Hocevar as revenged and the community is going respond to it.
